The short version

Slap Card is a local-first app. Your decks, cards, study history, and backups live on your device. We don't run an account system and we don't collect your study data. "Data Not Collected" on our App Store privacy label is literal.

What we don't collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store your cards, decks, review history, images, or any personal content on our servers. There is no Slap Card account and no server-side copy of your library.

On-device data

Everything you create stays in the app's local storage and, if you enable it, your own iCloud (via Apple's CloudKit). Backups are written to a Files-visible folder on your device. We never see them.

Purchases

Slap Card Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Apple handles the transaction; we receive only the anonymous entitlement status needed to unlock Pro. We never see your payment details.

AI card drafts

On-device AI generation never leaves your device. If a future optional cloud feature is offered, it will be clearly labeled and opt-in, and this policy will be updated before it ships.

Imports

When you import an Anki, Quizlet, or CSV file, parsing happens entirely on your device. The file is not uploaded anywhere.

This website

This marketing site may use privacy-respecting analytics that count anonymous page views. It does not track you across other sites and sets no advertising cookies.
